Sara Hemsley – Counsellor

BSc (hons), MBACP

 

Sara studied Psychology at The University of Sussex and has a background in different areas of mental health: she has experience working in a medium secure mental health unit as a support worker, and has supported people with personality disorders as a recovery advisor before moving into counselling. Sara has experience in supporting clients with depression, anxiety, grief, LGBTQ+ related issues, cultural issues, relationship issues, self-esteem and more.

In addition to her private practice, Sara also volunteered at St Barnabas House Hospice where she supported clients who were pre-bereaved or bereaved in processing their loss and navigating life outside of their grief. Sara is a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Counselling is a protected space to dedicate to your mental health, to acknowledge the difficult feelings you are experiencing, explore the cause of them, and learn how to move forward. Sara helps clients feel empowered to challenge what is holding you back, and will support you in making positive changes to feel more control in your life.
